Big shout out to the Dougal Dixon fandom. It is all speculation, but it’s science fiction. What did you expect? Dougal still makes such beautiful creatures even if they aren’t scientifically plausible
Zoology of the Future is out of print in North America, but eBay did have a copy. However, I’d say Future is Wild is overall better. The science is more up to date, there are fewer creatures making it more coherent, and it has the Megasquid in it. You’re argument is invalid. I never watched the cartoon; I heard it was terrible.

“The unicorn has long been seen as a symbol of purity and chastity - it is said that a unicorn simply has to touch it’s horn to polluted and toxic water and that water will become clean and pure enough to drink.
It thereby should follow that a unicorn needs a clean and pure environment to survive in. Perhaps, somewhere in the near future, unicorns will no longer be able to survive on our polluted earth, as the toxins in the water can no longer be removed even by the purest of beasts, and may even be enough to poison them. Even now, unicorn numbers are dwindling, as human waste builds.
We must save the unicorns!”
